For more than 25 years, the Great Plains Institute’s leaders and experts have built relationships with governments, businesses, communities, and across diverse viewpoints to power transformative solutions that improve people’s lives.

Strategic Priorities

To create the system conditions necessary for the US to achieve the following: ​

Economic opportunity and well-paying jobs ​

A more just society in which the costs and benefits of decarbonizing our economy are shared equitably by all ​

Clean, resilient communities and healthy natural systems ​

Reductions in harmful greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by at least 50 percent by 2030, on the path toward net-zero emissions by midcentury or sooner

Annual Budget: $15 million – Earned Income, Foundations, Individual Contributions, Government Grants or Contracts
